Mainly, it was the Indian people smiling in the face of adversity that shook Rafael Nadal. And so, he decided to start his work there and returned to his home country during the 2008 financial crisis.

“Seeing people who have such a bad time but have the ability to be happy; it was shocking. When I came back from India, I had that memory, and we started there. Later, in 2008 with the crisis, it was time to go home,” Nadal said.

Furthermore, the 20-time Grand Slam champion is looking forward to assembling all the learning and carrying on the noble work for many more years ahead. “First, we have to consolidate everything we have; there is a lot to do,” Nadal ended.

An oasis must always be used, without wondering how long it can last, and the Los Angeles Lakers are what they want to do. Darvin Ham found the formula for Russell Westbrook to stop being a nuisance and the chaotic point guard is offering good sensations coming off the bench. According to NBA rumors, this can improve his cache and make a franchise want to recruit him. The most interested would be the Chicago Bulls, the result of their despair over the bad campaign they are having, and from ESPN they point to a curious potential exchange.

The Lakers consider an incredible transfer with Chicago Bulls

It is a proposal that the management of the Angelina franchise is discussing internally to make and that could be to the liking of those from Illinois. The terrible competitive drift of these and the bad atmosphere in the locker room, with Lavine demanding more prominence and seeing how his lieutenants do not finish performing, makes both DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic transferable, giving up immediate aspirations to look to the future medium term.

Westbrook’s cache has gone up in recent games

Everything indicates that Zach Lavine should be the star around which the project revolves, so keeping two veterans who are not displaying the expected level can be counterproductive. Thus, the Los Angeles Lakers believe they can conquer the Bulls with an offer of two first-round draft picks and Russell Westbrook, in exchange for the DeRozan above and Vucevic, whose fit in the Lakers remains to be seen.

Sometimes, what Stephen Curry does is so out of logic that he gives us many things to think about, something like the point guard of the Golden State Warriors is the result of careful genetic manipulation that, rather than being a human, makes him an automaton exclusively designed to score triples.

It is already known that his thing with triples is so special that, apart from the ‘conventional’ method -near the perimeter-, and his different ways of executing it, he can put them from half-court and even from the stands. But the video that just came out of Curry is shocking.

Like someone who throws stones into a lake trying to get to the same point -but hitting it-Stephen Curry naturally began to shoot three-pointers from the opposite basket with one hand. Five in a row! They were the ones scored by the most excellent triple shooter in NBA history, who went crazy celebrating it. How not to come back…

That was difficult to accept”, that phrase from Charles Leclerc ..“The pace was there to win races, but we didn’t deliver. That was difficult to accept”, that phrase from Leclerc in Auto Motor und Sport is worth summarizing Ferrari’s season and, more specifically, his. He started the year with two wins, a second place, and a 46-point lead over Verstappen, but then we already know how the story ended after the Dutchman’s record 15 wins and missed opportunities in the Maranello box. 146 points separated the Monegasque, who at least saved the runner-up, from Max.

Until Red Bull tuned up and passed them on the right, Ferrari had the best car. Then, they were able to do more but, as Leclerc points out, they were not “good enough to have the perfect race on Sundays, for example in terms of strategy.”

“Sometimes we put ourselves in a sub-optimal situation, which forced us to do a very long stint on one tire and things like that. We have to improve our execution in the race. If I look at the whole season, I think we had the performance to fight for the title”, he assures.

Despite the many criticisms that have rained down on them from outside, they are “self-critical” and the first to demand that they raise the bar, which has led them to do without Binotto to try to find another push. “I am very critical within the team. I’m not a driver who criticizes them harshly in public, but in internal meetings, I push my team forward. That’s my job. If I make mistakes, I correct them. If the team makes mistakes, they have to be on the table. They have to let me say what I think,” reflects Charles.

Of course, Leclerc applauds the Scuderia for being able to leap compared to last year and encourages them to take another for next year: “We have taken a big step from 2021 to this season, we did an incredible job. I don’t think many people believed that we were capable of fighting for wins. In 2023 we should have a car as good as this to be able to fight for the championship.” To do this, they have to “find a way to be as fast as Red Bull on the straights” because there will be more competition with Mercedes: “I’m counting on them.”
