Maria Sharapova lands in Detroit for Forbes Under 30 summit

Sharapova was one of the first speakers to share her experience as an athlete-turned-businesswoman. Her candy brand Sugarpova was launched in 2012 and since her retirement from tennis last year, the Russian seems to be investing in multiple domains apart from being a proud owner of Sugarpova.

During her discussion, the former world no.1 talked about how she always felt like there was more to her life than just tennis and the budding stages of learning business.

When Maria Sharapova Barged Into Novak Djokovic’s Press Conference

When I come home after I exited the tennis gates, I felt like I was more. More as a human being. More as a person. I was curious and was interested in other things. She said “I didn’t want to be defined by this one thing”, said the Russian.

Sharapova continued, “I started learning by the partners that I was working with. I would get into meetings with Nike and contract meetings, I didn’t really know what these terms were. I’d say that now, in my 30s, I went back to those moments, and that was my MBA. That’s where I learned all the things I am able to apply now”.

With diversified interests, Sharapova was able to invest in businesses related to architecture and also in a wellness brand, Therabody.

Max Verstappen Promises to go race by race, there is no….because he is not thinking about the…

Max Verstappen arrives in Singapore without thinking that he can be proclaimed two-time Formula 1 world champion this weekend. The Red Bull man maintains that he is not going to change his approach for this race and will go one by one during these last six. Returning to the streets of Marina Bay will be an interesting challenge for him and he is looking forward to racing again.

Verstappen will have his first match point in Singapore to proclaim himself Formula 1 world champion in 2022 . The one from the Netherlands needs a new victory and wait for his two closest pursuers, but it really is not something that he has in mind. He, personally, thinks about the challenge that this weekend represents and stresses that qualifying will be very important.

“We haven’t been to Singapore for a while so it will be interesting to see how the circuit has developed. It’s one of the best races of the year and a great place to be. The qualifying lap is important and we have to focus on that.” During the race, you have to be prepared for everything with the safety cars”, commented Verstappen in the Red Bull preview for the Singapore GP.

“In general, it is a challenging circuit, the humidity is hard on the body and it is very difficult to make a perfect lap. The corners are very narrow and the walls are also close. I  don’t really think about the World Championship , I just want to have an end of positive week and go race by race, there is no rush “, he added.

On the other hand, Sergio Pérez is happy to return to Singapore, where he will race for the first time as a Red Bull driver . The Mexican has not been at his best level in recent races, but he is confident of taking a step forward this weekend and being closer to his teammate.

“It’s great to be back in Singapore, the circuit is very demanding both physically and mentally . It’s been good to have this break after the treble and now we’re looking forward to the last six races of the season. It will be very important to do everything right and add up all the points that we can. We have analyzed what happened in the last races and we want to return to the circuit”, Pérez expressed to close.

RAFA NADAL’S SISTER TELLS HOW MERY PERELLÓ IS DOING – News from the hospital

The tennis player Rafa Nadal  will become a father in October 2022 or, at the latest, in November, according to sources from his environment in conversation with Diario de Mallorca. This medium reported at the time that Mery Perelló , the athlete’s wife, had had to be admitted to the hospital due to complications in her pregnancy, which required surgical intervention. To this day, Mery remains in absolute rest and we know how she is.

The magazine Hello! has now revealed that the baby the couple is expecting will be a boy, although the Nadal family prefers not to comment at all on this issue. However, the sister of the manacorí, Maribel Nadal, who attended an awards ceremony presided over by Queen Letizia on behalf of the tennis player’s foundation, was approached in the middle of the street by reporters who wanted to know more details about the special moment that Nadal and Mery, also known as Xisca, live among their loved ones. How’s he doing?

Maribel did not want to enter the game, but confirmed that both are “very well” in the final stretch of pregnancy. With a broad smile, the board limited itself to confirming that everything is going according to plan and that the whole family is very excited about the imminent arrival of the new member of the clan.

Nadal himself acknowledged, after being eliminated in the round of 16 of the US Open, that he had gone through a period of great nervousness, being so far from his wife during her stay in the medical center (and a possible childbirth ).premature), and that he needed to fully focus on such an important stage of his personal and family life. That did not prevent, however, the Spaniard from going to London to play the last match in the Swiss’s career with Roger Federer, a very emotional meeting in which the two friends burst into tears during the tribute that took place in the O2 pavilion Arena of the British capital.

Novak Djokovic fires warning to Rafael Nadal despite having the knowledge that he can face bans

Having become team-mates at the Laver Cup, Novak Djokovic has sent a warning to rival Rafael Nadal as the Serbian star is one Grand Slam title behind his rival, and was not able to draw level at the US Open. The 35-year-old was unable to compete in New York as unvaccinated foreign visitors are banned from entering the United States

Djokovic’s next opportunity to join Nadal on 22 Major wins is at the Australian Open in January, where he is likely to be able to compete despite being deported from the country at the beginning of this year. Djokovic and Nadal joined Team Europe at the Laver Cup for Roger Federer’s farewell, but now Djokovic has sent the Spaniard a warning that he is coming for the all-time Grand Slam wins record by admitting that he is “hungry” for more trophies.

“In recent years, I have other priorities. I spent more time with the children,” Djokovic told Sportal. “I mentally adapted to such a life, but my body is grateful because I managed to keep fit. I still like to train.

“I do the usual routines that I have every day. I am eager for tennis and competition. I’m hungry for trophies. I have maintained the top level of tennis by playing in the biggest tournaments.”

As he is unvaccinated against Covid-19, Djokovic has said that he is ready to face the consequences as he prepares to return to the ATP Tour. He is in Tel Aviv to compete on the tour for the first time since May, having overcome a wrist injury he picked up against Felix Auger Aliassime in the Laver Cup, and admitted it was tough watching the US Open as a non-competitor but accepts the consequences including possible future bans.
