Olsen first made her appearance briefly in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Winter Soldier. Although she found herself officially working with the cast and crew for Avengers: Age of Ultron. By the time she made her debut, Johansson’s Black Widow was already a fixture in the MCU. Seeing how an experienced Johansson handled her job behind the scenes left an unforgettable impression on the WandaVision star.
“I remember being on Ultron and seeing how she was with the crew and I was just amazed by her ease and her comfort and how she includes the crew in everything and how she makes everyone excited to come to work and I’ve really taken that into my life since then,” she told Variety.

Likewise, Johansson had nothing but kind words for her Infinity War co-star. Speaking to Sirius XM, the actor shared how much of a relief it was having another woman on The Avengers.

“It was so great when Lizzie came on because, y’know, we had [Colby Smulders.] It was basically the two of us kind of holding down the fort. And then when Lizzie came on it semi-balanced out,” Johansson said. “It was very heavy on the testosterone for a very long time, and now it has like…it calibrated.”
Johansson complimented Olsen on the humor, warmth, and professionalism the actor brought with her to the MCU. But Olsen also impressed Johansson with her work ethic. The Marriage Story actor thought Olsen’s performance as Wanda might have surpassed hers as Black Widow in certain areas.
“What she was doing was so hard. Even the physicality of what she was doing was so hard that I would work with her, and I was amazed at what she was creating out of nothing. That she created this whole…again, this physicality. And her character has such a sensuality to her, and she has such a passion,” she said. “I was amazed by it. It put me to shame.”

Olsen felt at the time that Ultron director Joss Whedon was able to do her character justice in the film. Mostly this was because of Whedon’s reputation for either creating or adapting strong female characters in fiction

And when asked why that is, she explained it’s pretty simple: “He’s not my fan. He’s my husband.”

She also pointed out that she’s not disrespecting her marriage, as he doesn’t ask her for advice about playing hockey. If he did, she guessed, “I’d be like, ‘I don’t know. You looked good out on the ice.’”
While talking to ET Canada, Underwood said she and Fisher have very different musical tastes, confessing, “I don’t know if he would be a Carrie Underwood fan if he was not married to me.”
That is one of a few areas where the couple agreed to disagree. For example, “Carrie does not like hunting one bit,” Fisher shared about his wife, who doesn’t eat meat (Mike and Carrie: God & Country).
“If he could be a vegan/vegetarian,” Underwood added, “my life would be almost perfect.”

On Sept. 27, 2022, Eichner appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to promote his movie, Bros. During the appearance, a fan asked Eichner if he ever figured out why Underwood blocked him on Twitter.
“Carrie Underwood blocked me on Twitter, which I consider a great honor,” Eichner said. “It was one of the great thrills of my life. You know Jesus take, Jesus, follow me back on Twitter I guess I don’t know.”
“Were you tweeting nasty s*** about her?” Cohen asked.
“I think I was — OK, there was a thing where she during the height of COVID she posted a, re-tweeted a speech by some Republican guy saying that kids shouldn’t have to wear masks in schools. Kind of letting her political views be known for the first time. And I guess I made some jokes about that. That went viral on Twitter and I guess she didn’t like that,” Eichner explained.

In August 2021, Underwood liked a tweet by a political commentator named Matt Walsh. This immediately drew backlash from fans.
“… I don’t care who carries votes for because she very clearly is conservative. My problem is that it’s incredibly selfish to not wear a mask. Wearing a Mask is the SIMPLEST way to show human compassion during this thing. I’m so over anti-maskers,” one fan wrote on Reddit.

Another fan argued on Reddit, “She’s PRO parent’s choice for their child. There’s a difference. There’s plenty of people that are for masks + vaccine but having the choice.”
Amidst all the debate surrounding Underwood’s Twitter likes, Eichner shared that the country singer blocked him in a tweet. The comedian posted a screenshot of Underwood’s profile that showed he was blocked with the caption, “ICONIC.”
